What we do
The Women and Infants Research Foundation is a significant global contributor to research in reproductive health and disease in women and infants. We have a reputation of excellence and high productivity in producing quality research. Our aim is to make research discoveries that eradicate disease and reduce illness in women and babies. More information about of research objectives, achievements and individual studies are displayed on our research page.
WIRF also provides support to facilitate quality research through our infrastructure and the Scholarship and Grant Program.
Some of the funding that supports the Foundation is generated through our businesses within King Edward Memorial Hospital:
WIRF Café/Gift Shop and First Photo (Baby photography).
We also rely on donations from individuals and organisations, fundraising and research grants.
