  • Associate Professor Graeme Boardley is currently Acting Executive Director of the Womens and Newborn’s Health Network. Graeme was previously Director of Midwifery, Nursing and Patient Support Services, Women and Newborn Health Service at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

    Graeme has an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor of Midwifery with Curtin University and is the immediate Past President of Women’s Healthcare Australasia.

    He is a registered nurse and midwife and has worked in the WA Health system for 30 years. Graeme’s experience includes tertiary, secondary metropolitan and country services. 

    Graeme’s goal is to improve access to maternity services for all Western Australian women through the development of collaborative models of care appropriate to the local setting.
For over 40 years, WIRF has conducted and supported research to improve the health of women and infants.
