The Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) has announced a change in Board leadership, with Tanya Brown stepping down as Director and Chair of the Board, effective 21 May 2026.
WIRF thanked Ms Brown for her contribution and commitment to the organisation during an important period of strategic planning and future direction-setting as the Foundation looks toward its next 50 years of impact.
The Board has appointed Scott Steinkrug as incoming Chair, ensuring continuity of governance and ongoing support for WIRF’s strategic priorities and mission.
As WIRF celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, the organisation remains focused on advancing research and innovation that improves the health and wellbeing of women, babies, and families.
The Board and leadership team look forward to continuing to work closely with partners, supporters, researchers, clinicians, and the broader community to build on WIRF’s legacy of impact in women’s, maternal, and infant health.
