The Women & Infants Research Foundation is partnering with Australian filmmaker, Rogue Rubin, on an exciting fundraising event – the exclusive screening of Lion Spy: The Hunt for Justice.
This extraordinary documentary follows Australian Director / Producer Rogue Rubin as she risks all in an undercover operation to prevent the extinction of wild lions, infiltrating the male dominated world of trophy hunters in Africa.
While risking her life on the scary and isolated plains of Africa, Rogue was also surviving another battle. On her return to Australia, Rogue was diagnosed with breast cancer.
October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month – an opportunity for us all to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease in our community.
Rogue and WIRF are partnering to use this extraordinary documentary as a platform to raise funds for the Foundation’s critical work into women’s cancers as well as bringing awareness to the practices that are bringing wild lion populations to the verge of extinction.
This exclusive movie fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, 27 October from 6.30pm at Event Cinemas Innaloo and will include a special introduction by Rogue.
