The Women and Infants Research Foundation’s Café and Gift Shop was opened in 1999 at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Subiaco.
WIRF Café
The WIRF Café provides a warm friendly atmosphere for visitors to KEMH and staff to relax and enjoy delicious cakes, coffee, tea, sweet and savoury treats prepared by our Café staff and volunteers.
Open Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and Saturday 8am to 3pm, the WIRF Café has a selection of dine in or take away breakfasts, lunches and home-cooked meals.
Located in the main corridor of the hospital the WIRF Café operates to the Healthy Options WA: Food and Nutrition Policy for WA Health Services and Facilities.

WIRF Gift Shop
Looking for a gift?
The WIRF Gift Shop stocks a range of premmie and newborn clothing from sizes 000000 to 000. Cuddly toys, cards, flowers, balloons and magazines, as well as cardigans, blankets, booties and beanies hand knitted by some of our volunteers.
For women we sell a range of locally made soaps, jewellery and creams and also toiletries and scarves.
Pregnancy and recovery shorts and leggings - an effective, non-pharmacological option for prevention and management of pain pre- and post-pregnancy. Health fund rebates may be available – please check your fund for eligibility and specific requirements.
