Be the voice of women and infants
The WIRF Ambassador Program empowers passionate individuals to advocate for women’s and babies’ health. Our ambassadors, including those with personal experiences of preterm birth, high-profile advocates, and healthcare professionals, help raise awareness and provide financial support for WIRF’s vital research and programs.
As a WIRF ambassador, you can choose to contribute in a range of ways including:
- Sharing your personal story to drive awareness
- Participating in media campaigns to highlight key research
- Being a guest speaker at WIRF events
- Co-hosting or promoting fundraising initiatives
- Helping secure vital funding for life-changing research
It’s amazing that a WA organisation is leading the world in preterm birth prevention and has already found some simple health interventions which can greatly reduce the chance of preterm birth.

The Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) is proud to announce Amy and Mike Hussey as its inaugural ambassadors.
Both WIRF and the Hussey family are proudly Western Australian products but they share a stronger and much more significant bond – their commitment to the prevention of preterm birth.
