Andrea Dawber brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the non-profit and corporate sectors.
Ms Dawber is a highly regarded senior leader with a strong track record in business development and philanthropy within the medical and health fields. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in advancing major initiatives in cardiovascular health, blood cancer research, and mental health. She is recognised for leading with heart, consistently bridging high-level strategy with meaningful community outcomes.
Known for her strategic approach and ability to build strong relationships, Ms Dawber is also a seasoned networker who has managed the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO) for more than a decade. This experience has enabled her to cultivate an extensive professional network, which she now brings to WIRF to help strengthen partnerships and grow philanthropic support for women’s and infant health research.
Ms Dawber said her decision to join WIRF was inspired by both personal experience and a shared belief in the Foundation’s mission.
“My journey to WIRF began with a simple belief: that every woman deserves the best health possible, and every baby deserves the strongest start to life,” Ms Dawber said.
“My own experience of motherhood was shaped by a deep sense of gratitude for the care and expertise that ensured a positive outcome for my family. That experience continues to drive my commitment to ensuring all families have access to the very best care and support.”
