WHO WE ARE
The Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) is one of Australia’s leading independent research institutions dedicated to improving the health of women, babies, and families across Australia.
For close to 50 years our research and programs have directly contributed to a number of improved clinical practices and health outcomes.
WIRF is the dedicated research and fundraising organisation supporting King Edward Memorial Hospital.
WHAT WE DO
For nearly five decades, WIRF has attracted doctors, researchers and other leading health professionals to Western Australia, with our work having a fundamental impact on improving women’s and babies health.
WIRF now focusses its research across three principal research areas: the prevention of preterm birth, gynaecological cancers, and women’s mental health.
WIRF continues to translate its research into effective partnerships and programs on a statewide level.
