  • Dr Mei Lon Ng is an experienced general practitioner and mother of three adult children.

Moving to Perth in 1981, and finishing her education at Methodist Ladies’ College in Claremont, she then went on to study Medicine at the University of Western Australia

She graduated in 1995 and completed her Fellowship training in General Practice in 2002.

Initially running her own general practice, she then sold this to concentrate on having a family.

During this time, she undertook further training in cancer survivorship and preventative health and the role of exercise and nutrition . Completing her Master’s in Exercise Medicine in 2022, she won the prize for the highest score in her course.

Now working between two practices, she is excited to join the board of WIRF. She is looking forward to helping spread WIRFs message about the importance of perinatal health and the impact of maternal health on paediatric outcomes.

She is also keen to work with WiRF to enhance their strategic alliances with international research centres.
For over 40 years, WIRF has conducted and supported research to improve the health of women and infants.
